* Born Nov. 10, 1839 
* Died Jan. 17, 1909 - age 69 years 2 month 19 days 
* Buried in Scullton Cemetery, Upper Turkeyfoot Twp. Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Corporal Co. B 46th Regiment Pa. Infantry 
* Enlisted July 16, 1863 at age 24 
* Discharged July 16, 1865 
* Served July 16, 1863 - July 16, 1865 - 24 month 
* Contracted Rheumatism during the winter of 1863 in Tennessee 
* At the battle of Peachtree Creek, a percussion cap hit his left eye, nearly 
blinding him. 
* Filed for pension in 1890 and received $144 a year. 
* Invalid Pension: Applied July 28, 1890, Application #828897, Certificate 
#606895
