* Substitute for Alexander Walker, whose father had offered $1000 for the son's 
release from military service. 
* Enlisted Oct. 26, 1864 
* Mustered in Oct. 28, 1864 at age 18 as Private in Chambersburg, Pa. 
* Mustered out June 28, 1865 with company 
* Served Oct. 28, 1864 - June 28, 1865 - 8 month 
* Residence in 1925 - Berlin, Somerset Co. Pa.
