* Enrolled Aug. 22, 1862 at age 21 in Berlin, Somerset Co. Pa. by F. A. Edmunds 
* Mustered in Aug. 29, 1862 at Harrisburg, Pa. by Captain Saylor 
* Discharged May 17, 1865 at Philadelphia, Pa. 
* Promoted to Corporal Oct. 22, 1864
* Wounded Apr. 1, 1865 at Five Forks, Va. 
* Discharged June 3, 1865 by General Order 
* Served Sept. 1, 1862 - May 29, 1865 32 month 28 days 
* Disability - Shot through left thigh 
* Eyes - Hazel; Hair - Dark; Complexion - Dark; Height - 5' 5"
