* Private in Captain William M. Schrock's Co., after Oct. 2, 1863 1st Battalion 
Pa. Infantry Co. H. 
* Mustered in June 24, 1863 in New Centerville, Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Mustered out Jan. 8, 1864 in Harrisburg, Pa. 
* Private Co. I 55th Regiment Pa. Infantry 
* Enrolled Feb. 18, 1864 at age 18 
* Mustered in Feb. 27, 1864 as Private 
* Missing May 16, 1864 at Drury's Bluff, Va. 
* It is said he was captured and died as a prisoner of war. 
* Height - 5' 5"; Hair - Black; Complexion - Fair; Eyes - Brown 
* Occupation at enrollment - Farmer
