* Born 1826 near Amsterdam, Netherlands 
* Died Dec. 13, 1903 
* Buried in Union Cemetery, Meyersdale, Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Corporal Co. D 2nd Michigan Cavalry 
* Served Oct. 22, 1864 - Sept. 11, 1865 - 11 month 19 days 
* Pension application: Rheumatism, weakness of legs and injury to right arm; 
horse stepped on it.
* Pension granted Feb. 17th to date from July 15, 1890 at $6 per month. 
* Certificate #848,464; Declaration for increase on account of increased 
Rheumatism and Heart Disease; wants $12 per month 
* Invalid Pension: Applied July 15, 1890, Application #806550, Certificate 
#847464; Widow Pension: Application #810160, no certificate number listed.
