* Enlisted Dec. 17, 1864 at age 28 near Petersburg, Va. 
* Mustered in Dec. 17, 1864 near Petersburg, Va. 
* In hospital at Washington, D. C. since Mar. 31, 1865 
* Served Aug. 5, 1864 - Apr. 9, 1866

* Served with the British armed forces in the Crimean War, 1853 - 1856
