* Died June 3, 1916 in Meyersdale, Pa. 
* Buried in St. Paul Wilhelm Cemetery, St. Paul, Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Private in Captain John (Weir's?) Co. C 2nd Regiment Maryland Potomac Home 
Brigade Infantry 
* Enrolled Aug. 3, 1861 to serve 3 years or the duration 
* Discharged Sept. 29, 1864 at Cumberland, Maryland by reason of expiration of 
his term of service 
* "Sept. 11, 1882 This certificate is given under the act of Congress approved 
Mar. 3, 1873, upon satisfactory proof that the soldier has lost his certificate 
of discharge, or that it has been destroyed".  
* Served Aug. 3, 1861 - Sept. 29, 1864 - 34 month 26 days 
* Pension application: Increased disability, Rheumatism and resulting Disease of
