* Died July 17, 1919 at age 79 
* Buried in Custer Cemetery, Paint Twp. Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Corporal Co. I 54th Regiment Pa. Infantry 
* Enlisted Aug. 27, 1861 at age 21 in Johnstown, Pa. 
* Mustered in Oct. 10, 1861 as Corporal in Harrisburg, Pa. 
* Discharged Nov. 16, 1864 by General Order, Expiration of term of service 
* Served Aug. 27, 1861 - Nov. 16, 1864 - 38 month 19 days 
* Prisoner at Harrison 
* Wounded at the Battle of New Market, receiving a rifle ball in the left ankle, 
and taken prisoner. Recaptured by the U. S. Army Oct. 19, 1864 
* Disability - Gunshot wound left foot 
* Height - 5' 9"; Hair - Dark; Eyes - Blue 
* Occupation at enrollment - Wagoner 
* Residence at enrollment - Johnstown, Pa.
