* Mustered in Nov. 12, 1861 at Uniontown, Pa. 
* Deserted June 23, 1863 at Morris Island, S. C. 
* Requested furlough, was gone May and June 1863, did not return 
* Height - 6'0'; Hair - Light; Complexion - Fair; Eyes - Blue 
* Occupation - Farmer 
* Allen is a brother of Aaron Hyatt
