Jordon, William M.

* Born at the White Horse Tavern, Allegheny Twp. Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Died Feb. 13, 1910 at age 84 in Mt. Pleasant, Pa. 
* He was bedfast for several months suffering from a broken shoulder, 
the result of a fall. He was almost blind. 
* He operated a stage line between Bedford and West Newton and after 
the war operated a hotel in Mt. Pleasant, Pa. 
* Captain Co. B 28th Regiment Pa. Infantry 
* Enlisted June 28, 1861 at Mt. Pleasant, Pa. 
* Mustered in June 28, 1861 as 1st Lieutenant at age 34 in Philadelphia, 
Pa. 
* Promoted to Captain on Jan. 25, 1862 
* Wounded at Antietam and Chancellorsville 
* Resigned June 13, 1863 
* Height - a little over 6' 
* Invalid Pension: Applied Nov. 1, 1879 and Mar. or Apr. 16, 1907;
