* Born Sept. 13, 1840 in Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Died Apr. 4, 1927 in Orville, Ill. 
* Private Co. 18th Regiment Illinois Infantry 
* Discharged in June 1864 with the rank of Sergeant at Springfield, Ill 
* Invalid Pension: Applied Feb. 12, 1884 and Oct. 1, 1910, Application #505055, 
Certificate #275274 [Pension numbers are very hard to read, please double check]
