* Buried in Burrton Cemetery 
* Co. D 4th West Virginia Infantry 
* Enlisted June 27, 1861 
* Mustered in as Private
* Promoted to musician 
* Discharged Jan. 20, 1864 at Larkinsville, Al. 
* Re-enlisted the next day in Co. B 2nd W. Va. Veterans Volunteers 
* At the close of the war he stood Honor Inspection for President Lincoln 
* Discharged July 16, 1865 at Clarksburg, W. Va. 
* Brother of Daniel Harry Knight 
* Invalid Pension: Applied Dec. 9, 1885, Application #557829, Certificate 
#367390
