* Private Co. C 54th Regiment Pa. Infantry 
* Enlisted 1861 with about 39 of his school mates 
* Re-enlisted Dec. 1863 in the same company 
* Wounded in 1864 
* Taken prisoner in 1865 
* Wounded at Gettysburg, June 5, 1864 at Piedmont and Petersburg 
* Also was in the following battles: New Market, Lynchburg, Winchester, Fisher's 
Hill, Highbridge, Cedar Creek, Hatch's Ridge, the Wilderness and Antietam.
