* Enlisted Aug. 6, 1861 in Johnstown, Pa. 
* Mustered in Oct. 4, 1861 in Harrisburg, Pa. 
* Discharged Aug. 6, 1864 
* Served Aug. 24, 1861 - Oct. 12, 1864 
* Fought at New Market May 15, 1864 and Piedmont June 5, 1864 
* Wounded at Piedmont - Fractures of the skull, nose and arm when struck with 
the butt end of a rifle 
* Disability - Skull crushed by musket 
* In hospital at Clairsville, Md. at muster out 
* Occupation at enlistment - puddler 8 Invalid Pension: Applied May 19, 1868,
