Infantry * Enlisted Aug. 11, 1862 in Shellsburg, Pa. * Mustered in Aug. 29, 1862 at Harrisburg, Pa. * Killed in action * On Nov. 27, 1863 he was shot just below the heart, near Locust Grove (Mine Run), Va.
