* Died Apr.  27, 1887 in Meyersdale, Pa. at age 53 
* Buried in Union Cemetery, Meyersdale, Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Sergeant in Captain Iranaeus L. Smith's Co. C 54th Regiment Pa. Infantry 
commanded by J. M. Campbell 
* Enrolled Sept. 4, 1861 at age 26 in Somerset, Somerset Co. Pa. to serve 3 
years or the duration 
* Mustered in Sept. 30, 1861 as Sergeant in Harrisburg, Pa. 
* Discharged Sept. 3, 1864 at Harpers Ferry, West Virginia by reason of 
expiration of term of service 
* Height - 5'5"; Hair - Sandy; Complexion - Fair; Eyes - Blue 
* Occupation - Farmer 
* Residence at enrollment - Meyers Mills, Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Paid in full Sept. 20, 1864 
* Filed Oath of Identity Sept. 15, 1864 while a resident of the town of
