Miller, John A.

* Born Dec. 15, 1845 in York Co. Pa. 
* Captain Co. A Pa. Independent Regiment, organized in Lancaster and York 
Counties 
* Served May 1861 - June 1862 
* Residence in 1925 - Somerset, Somerset Co. Pa.  
* Promoted Orderly Sergeant 
* Later made Captain of that company. They took charge of the wounded at 
Gettysburg, transporting them to hospitals
