* Private Co. K 2nd Maryland Potomac Home Brigade 
* Enlisted Sept. 7, 1861 at Cumberland, Maryland for 3 years service
* Mustered in Sept. 18, 1861 
* Discharged Feb. 4, 1863, for disability from Hospital at Cumberland, Md - 16 
month 16 days 
* Buried in Fichtner Cemetery, Intersection of Glencoe and Emerick Road, 
Northampton Twp. Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Wounded in action Oct. 26, 1861 near Springfield, West Va.; unfitted for 
further duty
* Company Muster Roll dated Apr. 30, 1862 lists him as at home sick 
* Company Muster Roll dated June 30, 1862, July & Aug. 1862, Sept. & Oct. 1862 
and Nov. & Dec. 1862 lists him as sick at hospital in Cumberland, Md.  
* Tombstone reads Reuben Maser 
* Invalid Pension: Applied Sept. 8, 1863, Application #32331, Certificate
