G 93rd Regiment Illinois Infantry * Enrolled Aug. 12, 1862 * Became ill at Vicksburg, Va., Furloughed July 1863, After returning home he spent time in convalesent Camps in Nashville and Memphis before rejoining his regiment on Jan. 6, 1864 in northern Alabama * He served in the following battles: Allatoona Pass on Oct. 5, 1864, March to the Sea, March through the Carolinas and the Grand Review in Washington, D.
