* Enrolled Aug. 20, 1862 at age 20 in Berlin, Somerset Co. Pa. by F. A. Edmunds 
* Mustered in Aug. 25, 1862 at Harrisburg, Pa. by Lieutenant Brayton, U. S. A. 
* Mustered out with company May 29, 1865 
* Residence in 1925 - Rockwood, Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Served Aug. 20, 1862 - May 29, 1865 - 9 month 12 days (total amount of service 
time is incorrect) 
* Eyes - Brown; Hair - Dark; Complexion - Dark; Height - 5' 5" 
* Occupation at enrollment - Blacksmith 
* He was in the battle of Fredericksburg and on detached duty at teamster with 
the Division supply Train.
