* Private Co. C 2nd Regiment Maryland Potomac Home Brigade Infantry
* Enlisted Aug. 16, 1861 at Frostburg, Maryland for 3 years service 
* Mustered in Aug. 27, 1861 
* Company C Muster Roll dated Oct. 31, 1861 lists him as absent, sick 
* Company C Muster Roll dated Dec. 31, 1861 lists him as discharged on Surgeon's 
Certificate Dec. 1, 1861 
* Company Muster Out Roll dated Sept. 29, 1864, Cumberland, Maryland lists the 
following: Age - 26 and discharged Dec. 1, 1861 on Surgeon's Certificate of 
Disability at Cumberland, Md. 
* Adjutant General's Office War Department dated Jan. 4, 1884 lists the 
following: The records of this office afford no further information as to date, 
place or cause of discharge, than is stated on company muster rolls and regiment 
return
