Ogle, Alexander

* Born Apr. 12, 1849 
* Died Aug. 8, 1891 
* Buried in Union Cemetery, Somerset, Somerset Co. Pa.
* 2nd Lieutenant Co. F 17th United States Infantry 
* Unassigned 17th United States Infantry 
* Appointed to West Point in 1868 
* Graduated in 1872 
* He was on duty at posts in Dakota, Wyoming, Nebraska and other western states 
* At one time he had charge of the Indian Chief Sitting Bull and delivered him 
to civilian authorities 
* At the time of his death his rank was 1st Lieutenant
