Potomac Home Brigade Infantry * Enlisted Nov. 4, 1862 at Cumberland Md. * On April 4, 1863 he was mustered into active duty. * He was 44 1/2 years old when he was mustered into the army. * Pay records indicate he was part of two companies, Co. K and Co. C. Records indicate that he was in the artillery with both companies. * Transferred to Co. C * Discharged on May 29, 1865 at Camp Bradford in Baltimore, Md. * Served Apr. 18, 1863 - May 29, 1865 - 25 month 11 days * Company K Muster Roll dated Nov. and Dec. 1862 lists the following: Present or absent - not stated, enrolled Nov. 4, 1862 at Cumberland, Maryland * Detachment Muster In Roll dated New Creek, W. S. for ordinance lost - ten cents and bounty due $100 * Disability - Chronic Diarrhea - Piles * On May 30, 1865 he began receiving a pension of six dollars a month. Pension was increased to eight dollars a month on Oct. 8, 1881. On Mar. 24, 1891 his pension was increased to twelve dollars a month.
