* Enlisted Oct. 10, 1861 at age 26 in Somerset, Pa. 
* Occupation at enlistment - Farmer 
* Height - 5' 5 1/2", Eyes - Grey, Hair - Black, Complexion - Fair 
* Discharged Jan. 3, 1862 for disability at Indianapolis, Indiana
