* Buried in Brotherton Cemetery, Brotherton, Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Killed in sawmill accident, went to mill and his coat caught in saw blade and 
he was pulled in 
* Private Co. E 133rd Regiment Pa. Infantry 
* Enrolled Aug. 6, 1862 at age 20 in Somerset, Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Enlisted Aug. 6, 1862 
* Mustered in Aug. 14, 1862 in Harrisburg, Pa. 
* Mustered out May 26, 1863 with company 
* Occupation - Carpenter, farmer 
* Corporal Co. H 211th Pa. Infantry 
* Enlisted Sept. 9, 1864
