* Buried in Union Cemetery, Meyersdale, Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Private Co. A 2nd Regiment Maryland Potomac Home Brigade Infantry 
* Enlisted Aug. 1, 1861 in Lonaconing, Md. for 3 years service 
* Mustered in Aug. 27, 1861 
* Company Muster Roll dated Apr. 30, 1862 lists him as absent without leave 4 
days 
* Company Muster Roll dated July and Aug. 1862, Sept and Oct. 1862, Nov and Dec. 
1862, Jan. and Feb. 1863; and, Mar. and Apr. 1863 lists him as under arrest from 
July 4, 1862 
* Company Muster Roll dated May and June 1863 lists him as deserted June 1, 1863 
* Descriptive List of Deserters dated May 31, 1863 lists him as deserted May 19, 
1863 at Lonaconing, Md.
