* Enlisted Aug. 20, 1861 at Frostburg, Md. for 3 years service 
* Mustered in Aug. 27, 1861 
* Company Muster Roster dated July and Aug. 1862 lists him as absent without 
permission from July 19 until 20 July 1862 
* Company Muster Roll dated Nov. and Dec. 1863 lists him as absent without leave 
since Dec. 23, 1863. Returned Dec. 31, 1863 
* Company Muster Roll dated Jan. and Feb. 1864 lists him as taken prisoner Jan. 
3, 1864
* Captured between New Creek and Petersburg, Va. while defending a wagon train 
from attack by Confederate raiders 
* Taken to Andersonville Prison 
* Died May 6, 1862 at Andersonville Prison, Georgia
* Company Muster Out Roll dated Sept. 29, 1864 lists the following: Age 19; Last 
paid to Oct. 31, 1863 and as prisoner of war captured Jan. 3, 1864 at Moorefield 
Junction, W. Va.

3, 1864; confined at Richmond, Va. Jan. 6, 1864; sent to Andersonville, Georgia

again admitted May 6, 1864 for Diarrhea; died May 6, 1864 of Dysentery
