* Buried in Beechdale Cemetery, Brothersvalley Twp. Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Private Co. E 93rd Regiment Pa. Infantry 
* Enlisted Sept. 26, 1864 at age 25 in Pittsburg, Pa 
* Mustered in Sept. 26, 1864 in Pittsburg, Pa 
* Discharged June 20, 1865 in Harrisburg, Pa. 
* In one battle he had 5 bullets pass through his clothing and knapsack without 
leaving a scratch. 
* Invalid Pension: Applied Aug. 22, 1890 and Nov. 7, 1908, Application #923515, 
Certificate #751305; Widow Pension: Applied Apr. 9, 1913, Application #1005478,
