Shaffer, Alfred

* Born 1845 in Paint Twp. Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Died Jan. 14, 1865 in Memphis, Shelby Co. Tennessee 
* He was in an Iowa unit. 
* Co. B 4th Regiment Iowa Cavalry 
* Brother of Ephraim, Christian, Cornelius and Cyrus Shaffer 
* Christian was the only brother to survive the Civil War.
