* Enlisted Oct. 24, 1862 as Private at age 25 in Harrisburg, Pa.
* Mustered in Nov. 1, 1862 in Harrisburg, Pa. for 9 months
* Mustered out Aug. 8, 1863 with company at Harrisburg, Pa.
* Discharged as Corporal Aug. 8, 1863 by reason of expiration of term of service 
* Served Nov. 1, 1862 - Aug. 8, 1863 - 9 month 7 days 
* Died after digging a grave in Salisbury. He walked out of cemetery and dropped 
dead. 
* Re-enlisted Sept. 26, 1864 as Private in Co. E 75th Regiment Pa. Infantry 
* Private Co. E 76th Regiment Pa. Infantry
