* Enrolled Aug. 26, 1864 at age 18 in Somerset, Somerset Co. Pa by Lt. Snyder 
* Mustered in Sept. 1, 1864 in Pittsburgh, Pa by Lt. Williams for 1 year 
* Mustered out June 30, 1865 with battery 
* Served Sept. 10, 1864 - June 30, 1865 - 9 month 20 days 
* He enlisted at the age of 14 
* Youngest veteran of the Civil War in Somerset Co. Pa.
