* Enlisted Nov. 22, 1861 
* Mustered in Dec. 14, 1864 at age 31 as Private in Chambersburg, Pa. 
* Received a slight wound in the back while on a scouting expedition. 
* Mustered out July 17, 1865 near New Alxendria, Va. 
* Paid off and discharged in Philadelphia, Pa.
