Infantry * Enrolled Feb. 15, 1864 at age 32 in Greensburg, Pa. * Mustered in Feb. 15, 1864 as Private in Greensburg, Pa. * Served Feb. 15, 1864 - July 18, 1865 * Fought at the following battles: Lookout Mountain, Missionary Ridge, Chickamauga and Chattanooga * Wounded at Chickamauga * He was unable to prove pension claim, His voucher due April 4th came just prior to his death, but death was so swift that he did not endorse it, although he had a pen in his hand to do so. * He had three brothers in the Civil War. * He is a brother of William Roberts Thomas * Transferred from Co.
