Pa. * Private Co. C 25th Bn. Va. Infantry * Confederate States Army * Enlisted Nov. 1, 1862 in Richmond, Virginia * Muster roster, dated Feb. 21, 1865, lists him as absent sick in General Hospital Farmville, Virginia. * The following is the record of his being paroled: I W. J. Tucker a Private of company C 25th Regiment Virginia Battalion do hereby give my solemn parole of honor that I will not hereafter serve in the armies of the Confederate States, or in any military capacity whatever, against the United States of America, or render aid to the enemies of the latter, until properly exchanged, in such manner as shall be mutually approved by the respective authorities.
