* Died Dec. 16, 1919 in Holsopple, Pa. 
* Private Co. K 2nd Maryland Potomac Home Brigade 
* Enlisted Mar. 26, 1863 at age 17 in Cumberland, Md. for 3 years service 
* Occupation at enlistment Laborer
* Height - 5' 4" 
* Eyes - Dark, Hair - Brown, Complexion - Dark 
* Company K Detachment Muster In Roll dated New Creek, W. Va. Aug. 14, 1863 
lists the following: Age 17, Mustered in Mar. 29, 1863
* Transferred to Co. C 
* Company C Muster Roll dated Sept. and Oct. 1864 lists him as present 
* Company C Descriptive Book lists the following: Age - 19, Occupation -  
Farmer, Height - 5' 4", Eyes - Dark, Hair - Brown, Complexion - Dark, Enlisted 
Mar. 26, 1863 for 3 years service in Cumberland, Md. 
* On July 1, 1863 he is sick at Hancock, Md. in hospital 
* In Nov. 1864 he was absent, sick from Company C 
* Company C Muster Out Roll dated Camp Bradford, Baltimore, Md. May 29, 1865 
lists the following: Age 19, Mustered out May 29, 1865, Last paid to Feb. 28, 
1865, Clothing account - Due soldier $6.40, Due U. S. for ordinance lost twenty 
cents and Bounty due soldier $100
* Served Mar. 26, 1863 - May 29, 1865 - 26 month 3 days 
* June 6, 1865 paid in full including bounty 
* Filed Oath of Identity Nov. 24, 1875 while a resident of Meyers Mills, 
Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Disability - Catarrh in nose 
* In 1900 he received a pension of $10. 
* Invalid Pension: Applied Nov. 8, 1879 and 1909, Application #320907,
