* 1st Sergeant Co. D 133rd Regiment Pa. Infantry 
* Enrolled Aug. 5, 1862 at age 29 in Somerset, Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Mustered in Aug. 14, 1862 in Harrisburg, Pa. 
* Entered service as a Sergeant. 
* Promoted to 1st Sergeant Aug. 21, 1862 
* Served Aug. 14, 1862 - Dec. 28, 1862 - 4 month 14 days 
* Widow Pension: Applied May 20, 1863, Application #22102, Certificate #10969;
