* Mustered in Aug. 25, 1862 at Harrisburg, Pa. by Lieutenant Brayton, U. S. A. 
* Prisoner from May 5, 1864 to Feb. 28, 1865 
* Discharged June 5, 1865 by General Order at Annapolis, Md. 
* Promoted to Corporal Nov. 27, 1863 
* Eyes - Dark; Hair - Brown; Complexion - Fair; Height - 5' 6" 
* Occupation at enrollment - Farmer 
* He was in the following battles: Fredericksburg; Chancelorsville; Gettysburg 
and Wilderness where he was taken prisoner
