* Born in Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Killed in action 
* Private or wagoner  Co. D 1st Regiment West Virginia Infantry 
* Mustered in Oct. 1861 in Wheeling, West Virginia 
* Mortally wounded at Winchester, Virginia on Mar. 23, 1863 and died several 
days later.
