* Died Feb. 2, 1924 Turkeyfoot, Somerset Co. Pa.
* Buried in Baptist Cemetery, Confluence, Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Private Co. E 133rd Regiment Pa. Infantry 
* Enrolled Aug. 6, 1862 at age 18 in Addison, Somerset Co. Pa. 
* Mustered in Aug. 14, 1862 as Musician in Harrisburg, Pa. 
* Mustered out May 26, 1863 
* Re-enlisted Feb. 24, 1864 
* Orderly Sergeant Co. E 116th Pa. Regiment 
* Served July 11, 1862 - July 14, 1865 - 35 month 2 days 
* Served until end of war 
* He was an orderly Sergeant and was promoted to 2nd Lieutenant, but before he 
got his commission  the war ended. 
* Slightly wounded in the face at the battle of The Wilderness. 
* Regiment went into service with 800 men and had a number of recruits besides, 
and after the battle of Ream's Station, near Petersburg in August, there were 
only 55 men to answer roll call
