States "This is to certify that Uriah Mostoller enlisted September 26, 1864 from Somerset County, PA and was inducted into the US service at Harrisburg, PA to serve one year or during the war. ???Private in Company C, 61 PX Regt. Va Vols Infantry under Capt. J.W. McClay and Cols. Orr and J.W. Crosby. The regiment was assigned to the 3rd Brig., 2nd Div., 6th Corps Army of the Potomic and engaged at Williamsburg May 5, 1862; Seven Pines, May 31, 1862; Indian Hill, July 1, 1863; Antetiam, Sept 17, 1862; Fredicksburg, Dec 13, 1862; ??? March - Jan, 1863; Chancellorsville, May 1 - 3, 1863; Gettsburg, July 1 - 3, 1863; Rappahahnock, Nov 7, 1863; Wilderness, May 5 - 7, 1863; Spotsylvania, May 8 - 18, 1864; Seige of Petersburg, June - July, 1864; Opeynaa ?, Sept 19, 1864; Toshers Hill, Sept 22, 1864; Fall of Petersburg, April 2, 1865; Sailers Creek, April 6, 1865. Comm Mostoller participated in all engagements from his enlistment until he was horonable discharged June 20, 1865 at Washington, D.C. at close of the war. Dedicated to the memory of Comm. Then we marched through Winchester aboud dark, >went four miles on the other side. There we laid down for that night. >The next morning we marched one mile, we arrived, were 61 Redg. Was me >and A. Horner have been put in at Co C E. Pyle, G. Coleman dont like very >well. We stayed there till the 10 of December. Again had orders to be >ready for march. We nare had luck again to the rail road four miles on >this side of Winchester. We get on the Cars the next day. Then we >arrived at Washington at 2 o’clock in the afternoon. We stayed there >till dark, then we went on a Steam Boat. We stayed two nights and two >days. In the evening of the second day we get off at city point. We >marched half a mile.
