W. F. Philson, Esq.
Berlin, Pa.

Dear Sir: 

I have your letter of the 26th instant and greatly regret to learn of the death 
of your father on March 27th last.
I notice from the minute books that he has been connected with this and its 
predecessor Company since 1875 and during my connection with the Company he has 
always been faithful in his attendance upon the Board meetings and has exhibited  
a deep interest in the Company's welfare.
I am grieved to know that I shall not meet him again and beg to extend to you my 
heartfelt sympathy.
