The Somerset Herald: (Somerset, Pa.) October 13, 1875
Mr. Daniel Showman received a dispatch from Dixon, Lee Co., Ill., on Monday morning,
stating that his son Cyrus had had a leg cut off and was not expected to live. We
are sorry to hear of this accident to a Somerset boy and hope that the fears in
regard to the fatal termination of his injuries may prove groundless.
