The Somerset Herald: (Somerset, Pa.) January 26, 1876
Mr. Levi Griffith of Jenner X Roads, had his hand badly cut a few days ago. Mr. G.
was engaged with his son in hewing posts, when his son, not looking very closely
when he was striking, hit his father on the hand between the thumb and first finger,
lacerating it in a fearful manner.
