Died at the Wheel
Windber Man Expired While Taking Examination for a Driver's License

  Joseph Phillips, aged 47, who resided in Windber, was overcome with a stroke 
of apoplexy about 10:30 Monday morning in Coopersdale, Johnstown, while taking 
an examination for an automobile driver's license.  He died before medical aid 
could be summoned.  With Phillips in the car at the time was a State Highway 
Patrolman, who narrowly averted a wreck when he observed the stricken man's 
condition and quickly brought the car under control.
