(Somerset, Pa.) January 28, 1880 Killed in the Mines. On Thursday afternoon Uriah Spangler was killed in the Keystone mines, near Meyersdale. He had undermined a large quantity of coal, which fell suddenly upon his head and the upper part of his body. Before he could be extricated life was extinct. Mr. Spangler formerly lived at Shanksville, but some months since had removed to Summit township. He leaves a wife and two children to mourn his untimely taking off. The mother of the deceased lives in Somerset.
