Abbot Sr., 74, Confluence, died Oct. 25, 2004, in Somerset Hospital. Born June 6, 1930, in Vanvorce, (Greene County), a son of the late Thomas and Nancy (Davis) Abbott. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Thomas Abbott; sister, Evelyn Riggar; four infant brothers; a stepchild and father-in-law, Isaac Thilman Hileary Williams. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Mae (Williams), whom he married May 20, 1967, and the following children: Sandra, married to Gary Baker, and Josephine, married to Samuel Spittal, both of Ursina; Joann Daugherty, Tennessee; Esther Ellen, married to Harlen King Sr., Addison; Nancy Abbott, Somerset; Joseph Jr. and his wife Carmen, Garrett; Brenda, married to Jody Rugg, Thomas and his wife, Barbara, and Jonathan and his wife, Betty Jo, all of Confluence; three stepchildren; 23 grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren; and mother-in-law, Esther Mae Williams, Smithfield. He worked as a custodian at Turkeyfoot Valley Area School retiring in 1990, and was a member of Calvary Community Church of Confluence. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday. The Rev.
