Adams, 43, World War I veteran, died at 5 o'clock Sunday morning in the Somerset Community Hospital. He enlisted in Co. C, 110th Inf., at the age of 16 and served overseas in World War I, being taken prisoner by the Germans in the second battle of the Marne. He was a son of Martin and Emma L. (Horne) Adams. In addition to his wife, Mrs. Emma (Ream) Adams, he leaves three children - Mrs. L. C. Barron, Somerset; Roy and Martin, Jr., both at home. He was a brother of Mrs. J. B. Landis, Somerset; Mrs. V. D. Callehan, Nemacolin, and Roy Adams, Windber. Funeral services were conducted at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning in St. Peter's Catholic Church by Rev. Father Albert Gartland. Interment in Somerset County Memorial Park under the direction of Charles R. Hauger, Somerset mortician. Meyersdale Republican, November 18, 1943
