Mrs. Adams, though an invalid for many years, had a wide circle of friends. No one ever knew her but to love her. She was born in Meyersdale on May 15, 1900, a daughter of George and Susan Anne (Beal) Donges, of Greenville Township. Mrs. Adams lived in Meyersdale until she reached the age of 17, when she went in nurse's training in a Baltimore hospital. At the completion of her training she accepted a nursing position in Shepherd and Pratt Hospital in Baltimore, Md., where she remained for one year. While there she met and married Frank W. Adams of New York. After living in Baltimore for several years they moved to Cumberland, Md., where Mrs. Adams underwent a serious operation which left her an invalid for the remainder of her life. Surviving in addition to her husband, Frank W. Adams, is a sister, Mrs. Emily Allen, Meyersdale, and four brothers, Edward L., Stewart and Clay Donges, all of Meyersdale, and William J. Donges, of Akron, Ohio. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon at the Adams home by the Rev. Howard K. Hilner, pastor of the Zion Lutheran Church. Interment was made in Union Cemetery under the direction of H. R. Konhaus, local mortician. Meyersdale Republican, January 29, 1942
