A native of Somerset county, Penn., and an area resident over 68 years, he retired from Babcock & Wilcox Company in 1973 after 37 years service. He was a member of Hope United Methodist Church. He is survived by wife Margaret; son, Carl, of Rosewell, Ga.; daughters, Mrs. John (Annetta) Brown, of Manchester, Mrs. Kathy Cain, of Richfield; eight grandchildren; brothers, Charles, of Akron, Alex of W.Va.; and sisters, Mrs. Leona Fort, of Akron, and Mrs. Helena Ellers, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. There will be no calling hours. Memorial services Monday at 7:30pm at the church, 2650 Cory Av., Rev. Phillip Carl officiating. Burial Lakewood Cemetery.
