Born Nov. 2, 1915 in Humphreys, Mo., son of John Robert and Annie Lee (Glaze) Alexander. Preceded in death by parents and sister, Vivian Allen. Survived by his wife, the former Audrey Velma Dill, to whom he was married 56 years and these children: Sharon L. Alexander, Somerset and Craig R, Alexander, married to the former Sue Contrillo of Keystone Heights, Fla.; two step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren. Brother of Ira "Jack" Alexander of Security, Col; Mrs. June Stipp of Kansas City, Mo.; and Mrs. Wilburn (Wilma) Williams of Browning, Mo. US Army veteran of World War II. A 1932 graduate of Humphreys High School. Truck driver for the former Cooper-Jarrett Trucking Co., retiring in 1970. Self-employed carpenter. Attended Somerset Church of the Brethren. Member of VFW Post 554, American Legion Post 181; Lodge 358 F&AM, and Local 30, Internatinal Brotherhood of Teamsters. Friends received from 3-5 and 7-9 pm Sunday, at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where services will be conducted at 10:30 am Monday. Rev. Roger L. Forry, officating.
